OSSE Bus Terminal

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project consists of the selective demolition and new construction design for a LEED Silver Bus Terminal for the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent. The project includes existing conditions surveys and analysis, environmental impact assessments, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, structural, fire protection, geotechnical, communications, cost estimating, interior design, sustainability, complete construction documents, building commissioning, and construction phase support.

 

The new bus terminal is four levels (3 stories + maintenance bay), ~30,000 GSF facility on a 2.5-acre site in NE DC. The facility is programmed into four operation categories: 1) bus maintenance, service parts and storage, 2) driver intake/waiting and dispatch, 3) training and recreational areas, and 4) administrative and office. The site includes bus parking, passenger vehicle parking, perimeter fencing/screening and controlled access, guard booths, bus wash station, and bus fueling station.
